Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine

Traditional Oriental Medicine is over 3,000 years old and includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, heat therapy, cupping, tui-na (medical massage – acupressure), qi gong (therapeutic breathing exercise), stone medicine and lifestyle counseling.

At the core of Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental medicine is the premise that there are patterns of energy flow (qi) through the body that are essential for health. Disruptions of this flow are believed to be responsible for the imbalances. The principles of this medicine are to find the root causes through a holistic lens, and to restore the body, mind, and spirit back to its balance and center.

Traditional Acupuncture

Acupuncture helps to reset the body’s natural energy flow by using thin, sterile, single use needles in specific points to clear blockage and stagnation naturally and bring the body back to a free flowing healthy state of homeostasis.

Abdominal Acupuncture

Abdominal Acupuncture uses specific points to treat such problems as digestive issues, sleep disorders, emotional imbalances, physical pain, and suppressed immune systems. It can also treat several problems at once to enhance the treatment outcome.

Cupping is one the best deep tissue therapies available. For centuries, cupping has been used as an essential part of traditional medicine. This technique is used to relieve back and neck pain, muscle tension and stiffness, plus arthritic pain.

About Linda

These intensive studies included acupuncture, herbal pharmacology, and Western medicine, taught by some of the leading scholars and practitioners in the world.

In the course of her studies, she treated over 500 patients at the busy Emperor’s College clinic. She completed her residency at the Being Alive Community Clinic in West Hollywood, with a specialty in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and emotional trauma. Linda also trained in functional medicine, including studies in functional endocrinology, blood chemistry, brain chemistry and the connection to the gut micro-biome.

Linda is passionate about helping her patients by creating a safe, nurturing space to facilitate their healing process. This allows them the ability to rebalance and let go, emotionally and physically, and to restore and support their body, mind and spirit. This may take one to several treatments.

The results I’ve gotten from my acupuncture experience with Linda has been so much better than alternative forms of pain relief I was seeking in the past. Her abdominal treatments have helped decrease my stress and anxiety level, as well as my neck and back pain. Her welcoming and calming presence makes it easy to feel revitalized after seeing her. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who doesn’t find sufficient relief through massage or other avenues of treatment.

I went to see Linda for acupuncture for a problem concerning overactive bladder. I would wake up 5 to 6 times every night and not always able to get back to sleep. After four treatments with Linda I am now sleeping much better, only waking up usually twice, sometimes not until morning, and when I do wake up I am able to fall right back to sleep. The acupuncture has also helped with the arthritis in my knees not to be as painful and I am truly thankful for that.

I’ve dealt with anxiety for much of my life and significant work stress for the past couple of years. My body had pain for about 6 months without improvement. Since my first treatment my anxiety has lessened significantly and and my pain continues to improve day-by-day. I am delighted. I’d never experienced acupuncture before, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But Linda’s kindness and gentle nature put me at ease right away. It was a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone.

After moving from the East Coast last year, I became depressed and extremely anxious about living with my sister and having to find employment. I have been seeing Linda for the past six months, having weekly treatments of acupuncture, diet, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations. My depression has lifted and my anxiety is pretty much gone. She also helped me with my horrible monthly cramps and headaches, putting me on two different herbal tea formulas. My cramps are gone and my headaches are very minimal.
